Love and thanks

Love and thanks by Wanda Stride (copyright 2014)

All my wonder and all my sin are whirling around me like a terrible wind
cutting off my air and skewing my vision; I carry it with me in every decision

But you are oblivious, you don’t see them, though everyone else seems to need to feed them
steady and sure you help me deceive them
have I told you lately? Have I ever told you that

I love you I love you I love you I love you, I thank you I thank you I thank you I thank you
for everything you do for me and for everything you have not done for me

Sometimes the silence is my best best friend, the crackling flames of a good night’s end
in the darkening wilds start over again, it’s one more chance to make amends

So hold me down in the glow of this moonbeam; let me drown let me know that you need me
I’m so full of this absolute meaning.
Have I told you lately? Have I ever told you that

I love you I love you I love you I love you, I thank you I thank you I thank you I thank you
for everything you do for me and for everything you have not done for me

Oh… I get so distracted and Oh… ashamed of my actions but Oh…  you’re always waiting so quietly steadily lovingly waiting

for me

I love you I love you I love you I love you, I thank you I thank you I thank you I thank you

for me
