Hard to imagine

Hard to imagine by Wanda Stride (copyright 2014)

It’s hard to imagine, from my place of peace, losing our tempers, an angry feast
when all that they wanted, was to try to be kind. It’s hard to imagine, but it happens all the time.

It’s hard to imagine, when I feel so safe, the king of a nation with an angry face
when all that they wanted, was their dignity. It’s hard to imagine, we aren’t all free

Why do we turn away say that it’s all OK say that it’s nothing to do with us (that’s a joke)
why do we let this place turn into something much less than we know it can be?

and why aren’t we more gentle with each other?
why aren’t we more, loving with our sons and daughters
to be more, to be more, why aren’t we more?

It’s hard to imagine, from his place of comfort, packing a suitcase and then facing exhaustion
when all that he wanted was to feel the sunshine. It’s hard to imagine we run out of time.

Why do we turn away say that it’s all OK say that it’s nothing to do with us (that’s a joke)
why do we let this place turn into something much less than we know it can be?

and why aren’t we more gentle with each other?
why aren’t we more, loving with our sons and daughters
to be more, to be more, why aren’t we more?

nobody knows just how close we can be at any one time… so

why aren’t we more gentle with each other?
why aren’t we more, loving with our sons and daughters
to be more, to be more, why aren’t we more?
