Lay your hand on mine

Lay your hand on mine by Wanda Stride (copyright 2014)

Lay your hand on mine, lay your hand on mine
it may not take the pain away, may not take the fear away,
but lay your hand on mine. Lay your hand on mine.

I remember busy days, too much expected of me.
desperate for some sort of solitude, wishing to be free.
But oh how your dreams can haunt you, when everything’s at stake
and day time lasts forever, and night time never breaks.

Lay your hand on mine, lay your hand on mine
it may not take the pain away, may not take the fear away,
but lay your hand on mine. Lay your hand on mine.

I don’t need  you to pity me, there’s nothing they can do
I bow before my sentence I’ve nothing left to prove.
But oh how this thing has changed me, and yes I know it’s true
I’m nothing without everyone, I’m nothing without you.

Lay your hand on mine, lay your hand on mine
it may not take the pain away, may not take the fear away,
but lay your hand on mine. Lay your hand on mine.

Lay your hand on mine, lay your hand on mine
it may not take the pain away, may not take the fear away,
but lay your hand on mine. Lay your hand on mine.
