Hold me in your love

Hold me in your love
I feel myself drifting in the wind
don’t let pull to right or left, just hold me in your love.

This road I’m on is covered with snow. Can’t see the yellow line telling me where to go
a down-hill slide heading straight for the ditch. Just hold me steady in your love

Fighting on the treadmill, trying to be seen. But people only notice where they’ve already been
a trip upstairs, a dangerous whim. Am I just chasing the wind?

Hold me in your love
I feel myself drifting in the wind
don’t let pull to right or left, just hold me in your love.

Meaningless vanities cover my wall. Wake in the morning and don’t think, think at all
cause the truth is the road is the treadmill after all. Without you, I’m just chasing wind…

But I know you’ll come to me at last. Light dances in the trees and settles fast.
and the sap runs again and nourishes… surrenders and sighs
when you come to me, at last, and hold me in your love…
don’t let me pull to right or left. Just hold me in your love.

Hold me in your love
I feel myself drifting in the wind
don’t let pull to right or left, just hold me in your love.
